Losing Me by Ivy Love (The Finders Series #0.5)

I had the pleasure of reading this book before it has been released, and I can tell you all that it was absolutely fan-freakin'-tastic! Ivy's book reminds me a lot of a James Patterson novel, you know, where each chapter is in someone else's perspective. This drives me crazy when I read, but in a good way. It keeps me interested in the book, and keeps me from putting the book down. I just HAVE to know what happens to MY favorite character and therefore, I was instantly hooked on the two main characters; Izzy and Liz. While I enjoyed Liz's story, I found Izzy to be MY character. I could not put this book down. I had to know what was going to happen with her. Of course since this is just a prequel, I never found out, but that is A okay with me because I know that I will be one-clicking the day that second book comes out.

Since this book hasn't been released yet, I am not going to give you my teaser of it as I believe you should buy this book. And if you are like me, and you love to find new and upcoming authors, then you definitely need to buy it when it comes out.

Now I am just going to have to wait until Ivy's next book comes out, and you can guarantee that I will continue to stalk her at Ivy Love. But a little birdie told me that the wait won't be too long.

So Congratulations Ivy! Your book is AMAZING! And now know that you have a avid fan!

Let me introduce to you to.....

Ivy Love

This is not a review... This is me telling ya'll to buy this book and read it on March 27th.

Ivy is branching out on her own with this debut novella, and I am convinced is will be AWESOME! I first met Ivy during the good ole days of BFBS, and I was quite nervous to be apart of the group. Sure I am a member of another street team, but for some reason I was nervous about BFBS. It was a much smaller team, but Ivy made me feel welcome, and apart of the team immediately. Ivy is so awesome, she has even pimped out my blog a time or two (which I am very grateful for Ivy).

Just today I was trolling Ivy's Facebook page at work (Yeah I totally stalk you Ivy, but you are one of a dozen or so friends I stalk when I get a free moment) when I saw her cover for the book, and I thought to myself, you know what Ivy ROCKS and everyone should know about her book coming out.

So here it is ladies and gentlemen!

Does this not sound amazing!!!

I don't know about ya'll but it sounds like Ryker is in for a wild ride. I can hardly contain myself. I don't know about ya'll but I want to know what happens in this scene. Don't ya'll?

So please, PLEASE give Ms. Ivy Love a chance! I know I am and I cant wait to see what the future brings for this very talented young author.

I love ya Ivy! And I know you WILL totally ROCK this! You got this!

Just a side note:
GO BUY THE BOOK!!!!!! NOW!!!!!

Hendrix by Chelsea Camaron & M.J. Fields (Caldwell Brothers #1)

After I read Eroe I got pretty bummed out thinking that I wouldn't be reading any more Steel books. Then this book came to my attention. I had never read anything from Chelsea Camaron, but the fact that M.J. co-wrote it I thought what the hey I'll give it a try. Wowzaas the Caldwell Brothers are a whole new force to reckon with.

Hendrix is the first book in the series, and it is goooood. The book starts off on a somber note (no I'm not telling you why), and with that Hendrix finds himself at a masquerade charity event. At the charity event, he finds himself in a situation that is mutually beneficial. Little does he know that hes masked partner is about to become his employee. I'm sure your imagination can run from there, and yes that is all you get (inset maniacal laughing).

I found this book to be very entertaining. Both authors did a great job with the writing which I think would be a challenge in its self. I don't think I would like to share my blog with my husband. This is my outlet and I would think Authors are the same way with their writing. However they do it, Chelsea and M.J make a great team. I am looking forward to read about Hendrix's brothers Morrison and Jagger "Jag" (I love all of their names as well. I mean who wouldn't love having a rock god for a name). The next book slated to release is Morrison, when it's coming out, who knows, but rest assured I will own it on release day.

Eroe by M.J. Fields (Ties of Steel #3)

M.J., M.J., M.J. How do you do it!!! I really didnt think I would fall for Sabato, but ya did it again. Eroe is the prequel to Sabato: The Cross that will be released April 5th (insert happy dance). This book gives you more insite to Sabato. If you have read the other 2 books (Abe and Dominic) then you are aware of how distrusting Sabato is. This gives a great reflection as to why he is the way he is.

As you all know I am a HUGE fan of M.J. Fields. I have read all of the Men of Steel books, and working on the Ties of Steel. I will be honest if this series ever stops I will cry. I mean it M.J. LITERALLY cry.

Now its waiting time, a mere 18 more days. And yes, I will have Sabato the day it comes out. But that is OK, I will continue to dream about this hunk until I have him in my hands.

Something Real by Lexi Ryan (Reckless & Real #2)

I told myself I wasn't going to blog about final books in a series, but I just couldn't help myself with this book.

Yes this is the third book in the Reckless and Real series. The whole series follows Elizabeth "Liz" Thompson and Sam Bradshaw. I of course loved this book, because hello, they finally go together (yes thats all I'm giving about it).

Out of all of Lexi Ryan's books that are set in New Hope, these were the ones that kept me on edge the most. Sam is... you know what, there are no words to describe Sam. All I know is I want me some of that. Minus the baggage of course.

As always Lexi Ryan didn't disappoint me. I have read all of her books from New Hope and a few others and I love reading her books.

Now to wait for the release of Nix and Max's story... It's going to be epic!

The Dark Duet Series by C.J. Roberts

Since it has been awhile since I have reviewed any books, I thought I would try something different with my review. This will keep me from posting three different time.

Captive in the Dark is the second book in the Sinister Desires collection, and the first book in the Dark Duet Series. This is the first time I have read C.J. Roberts and I can say I am thrill to have found this truly gifted author. I was very impressed with this book and look forward to reading more from this author.
This book follows Olivia (Livvie) who hasn't had the best upbringing. Her mother is, for a lack of a better term, a whore, and her dad is just gone. Livvie tries to be what her mom wants, but its just now enough. One day Livvie misses the school bus and runs into a beautiful man. Little does she know, that he will soon become her captor.
Caleb was sold as a Pleasure Slave when he was younger. However he got away and now will do nothing to help Rafiq get vengeance for the murder of his wife and sister. Caleb has an opportunity to pay Rafiq back. All he has to do is kidnap an American girl and turn her into a Pleasure Slave.
Thus begins Livvie and Caleb's story. Can Caleb complete this mission?

I throughly enjoyed this book, and could not wait to read the second book in the series.

Reading the second book was not nearly as thrilling as the first book. I was let down as it was truly difficult for me to get through (I know that says a lot if I have problems). Needless to say I am glad that I stuck with it, because it was worth it in the end. I was glad to see that Livvie got some what of a happy ending.

I was a little skeptical going into the third book as Seduced in the Dark wrapped up the series in a nice little bow. Boy was I wrong, Epilogue was the big red bow this series needed.

This book takes place from the moment James enters Livvie's life. This is book is wrote in James' POV. I love how the author captured James. The man he wants to be for Livvie, and what he will endure to have her.

I was quite sad when I finished Epilogue as I didn't want Livvie's story to end. She had been through so much. She is quite literally an inspiration. How does one go through all the trials and tribulations that she did, and still come out OK? I'm not going to give any clues away, but lets just say that yes I did cry at the end of this book. I cried for Livvie, Caleb and for James. Ya'll know me, I don't cry during books (only a select few have shaken me up enough to tear up).

Ya'll also know that I am not one to re-read books, unless its Kiss the Girls by James Patterson, favorite book EVER. But this series is definately going to be on my list of re-reads.

C.J. Roberts has gained a new fan, and I can't wait to dig into more of her work.

Beneath the Burn by Pam Godwin

WOW!!! I MEAN WOW!!! Pam Godwin delivers another great book. I ready for her twisted mind this time, and now I'm addicted to her. I love reading her books, you just never know what is going to come next. She really likes to keep you on your toes.

Beneath the burn follows Charlee who has been on the run for quite some time from her captor Roy. Charlee lives in fear that one day Roy will find her. He has already destroyed her, and he plans on finishing the job. Charlee finds herself in St. Louis and has meet Noah, Charlee owns her own tattoo shop "Kilroy tattoo" and is somewhat happy. Noah wants to marry her, but she of course won't marry him. Enter Jay, the lead singer of The Burn. Jay has demons of his own, and is mesmorized by Charlee the moment he sees her.

Drugs, Sex, Rock n Roll, and a whole lot more make up this astounding book. Pam Godwin is a shear genius and really captivates the readers. It's a lot like crack, once you have it, you HAVE to have more.

Beneath the Burn is also part of a new collection that I have found titled:

This collection has started out with a bang. While I have only heard of Pam Godwin and C.J Roberts, I am excited to find new authors in the Dark Romance genre.

Let the addiction continue!

Take Me: Twelve Tales of Dark Possession

*sad face* I have officially finished this collection. It was amazing to be able to read all of these books by truly gifted authors. I am not going to review every book in the collection again. I am however going to remind you of the books that are included in it.

Nora and Julian

 Hazel and Roan (Fox)

Mia and Tyler

 Natalie and Marco

Liv and Josh

Hailey and Lock

Ruby and Gavin
I some how forgot to review this one. Trust me it's still good!

Lia and Evan

Lia and Evan story continued

Ashlyn and "Logan"

Alex and Rafe

Spin
Theresa and Antonio

I started this collection on February 5th and finished it February 27th. See I told you I had a reading addiction. From the beginning of this collection til the end, I read 10 of the 12 books (I had read 2 prior to finding this collection), and 6 extra books (I cant just read one book of a series and move on).

This collection did not let me down. I thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to finding more of collections like this. In fact I have already started a new collection that did not disappoint. You know me, reviews to follow.

Spin by C.D Reiss (Songs of Corruption #1)

Spin is the final book in the Take Me: Twelve Tales of Possession, and it was kind of a let down. I was hoping for something to end the collection that packed a punch, however I was severely disappointed.

Spin follows Theresa Drazen and Antonio "Spin" Spinelli (who is all a Mafia Capo). Theresa is a trust fund baby who doesn't have to want for anything, but likes to make a name for herself working for a Hollywood production company. She has just gotten out of a relationship with a cheater when she meets Antonio. He is everything her ex (who also happens to be running for Mayor) isn't. He's tall, dark and mysterious (got to love them Italian boys). Theresa sees Spin when she goes out with her brother, she is completely awe-struck with his good looks. She doesn't approach him but a few days later she goes back to the same seedy bar in hopes of running into him.So begins the awkward relationship between the two.

While the story its self was good, I dont quite know how this book was included in the Take Me collection. The premise was great, but I just didnt get the whole "possession" feel for it. There was no kinky sex like the other books (yes I'm a perv like that), and if your the Mafia Capo, (insert spoiler) can't you do what ever the hell you want? Like marry the girl you want?

As you all know, I of course couldn't just read this book. I had to see what would happen to Theresa and Antonio in the second book:

No I'm not going into any detail about this book, other than it was a bigger disappointment then the first. However it did get a lot more entertaining at the end, and yes I am invested enough to read the 3rd book Rule due out in June. You can dang well believe I will be One-Clicking this book.

I recommend this book to readers who are not into the Dark Romance genre. This is even lighter than Fifty Shades of Grey, but then again FSoG is pretty tame compared to all of the books in the Take Me collection.

Torrent by Gemma James (Condemned # 1)

My slacken is over!!! (Well maybe) Torrent is the first book in the Condemned series by Gemma James. This series introduces us to Alex and Rafe. The premise of the book is that Alex has and still is being molested by her step brother Zach. Zach is OBSESSED by her, and believes that they are in love. Alex's mom "supposedly" killed herself after she found out, and her step dad who has taken her under his wing as his own daughter. Little does she know is that her "Dad" has done everything in his power to keep the family secret under wraps.

Alex has always loved Rafe, but lived in a prison constructed by Zach's jealous. Zach finally figures out that Alex loves Rafe, he goes berserk "takes" what he believes is his. He tells Alex to false accuse Rafe of raping her, or else he is going to kill Rafe. Alex agrees and sends Rafe to prison.

The story really begins when Rafe is released and he is out to get his vengeance. He wants to know why Alex accused him of rape when he was nothing but polite to her. Granted he always had a thing for her, but she never knew that.

OK I know it doesnt take much to entertain me, but HOT DANG! I seriously need a Rafe in my life. And I dont know about you but the whole time I was reading this book all I could think about was Ben Afleck's character Rafe in Pearl Harbor. I love that movie even though Danny was hotter.  Anywho, I highly recommend this book to anyone like Dark Romance. Gemma James does a wonderful job of getting into Alex's head. How she psychologically removes Alex from the abuse is nothing short of masterful. Gemma James has gain another fan. I look forward to reading more of her work, and yes I have read the second book Rampant. Holy goodness gracious the hits just keep coming in this book.

I am not going to give a summary of this book as you really need to read Torrent first. I promise you will want to read the second book after you read the first. Just to for-sworn you, there is a cliffhanger in the second book, oh yeah there is one at the end of the first book as well.

So come on April 30th! I CANNOT wait for Fervent the third book to release. And yes I have it to notify me when its available (insert addict status here... *sigh* but you know what I am A OKAY with it).

Thus ends my review, and I am out of wine. I know, I know such atrocities, but hey whatever keeps me happy right????

So fellow book readers I I bid you adieu, as my partner in crime has showed up and out we go for drinks.

Otherwise Alone by Shay Savage (Evan Arden #1)

OK, I told a small fib. I am not going to review 8 1/2 books, as some of them are part of trilogies. I am just going to review the first of the series so that way I don't give a whole lot away.

The next book from the Take Me collection is:

This is the first book of the Evan Arden series, and I can honestly say I am now a Shay Savage fan. This series hit close to home as Evan is a Veteran Sniper from the Marie Corp. And he is bad ass, with a Capital B. Evan is a hit man for a Chicago Mob Boss, and is in the middle of no where in the Arizona desert waiting for a call from his boss to say it is safe for him to come home. Long story short, Lia Antonio arrives at his door step and they both fall head over heals in a very short amount of time. Eventually Evan has to help Lia get home to her mom and he is called back to Chicago before Lia can return from Phoenix. This is where the first book ends and the second begins.

Y'all know me by now and know that I am not going to go into the series any further. I honestly have to say that this is the first time I have ever read Shay Savage and all I can say (or scream) is I WANT MORE EVAN!!!!! Hot damn this man is every thing a woman would want (aside from the PTSD). He's HOT, he knows how to handle a gun (if you know what I mean).
I have read all 3 of the books about Evan and also the side novel that has a touch of Evan in it and I am thrilled that the next book will be coming out in 8 days. I NEED MORE EVAN! Shay Savage is a very talented writer, she knows how to really grab an audience. She doesn't beat around the bush, she gets right to the point  of her books. Its quite refreshing for a change. Most authors I have found take a few chapters to get to the nitty gritty, but not this author. She does not waste your time with meaningless back story.

I will definitely be reading more from Shay Savage. She was a real treasure to find in this collection.

So so much for posting more often!

Well Shoot! I had every intention to post more often, but life got in the way. But that is a-okay, because good things are happening. For those of you who don't know, I work at a small local bank. I have been with this company for almost 3 years as a Customer Service Rep. needless to say, I have not been very happy with my position. I have sales and referral goals that drive me crazy since I am the CSR who sees the least amount of customers. So a position came open in our Operations Department. I am happy to say that I applied for the position and successfully beat the other candidate for it. I have been training this whole last week for it, as I start on my own tomorrow. So as you can imagine I have been quite busy with my career.

Today is the day that I am going to catch up on my reviews. I'm telling you now, there are 8 1/2 to do. Some will be short and some wont. But hey its a snowy Sunday, and I dont have anything better to do then share my books with you.

I hope you all stay warm, and if you are snowed in, pick up one of these books. They are all great books.
