Can't Walk Away by Molly McLain (River Bend #3)

I would say sorry Sabato, but I'm not going to because you have officially been replaced by Mark Dunn. The sexist Sheriff EVER, who also happened to be in the Army. And completely and utterly in love with Ally Barrett. These two have had an unofficial relationship for the better part of a year, and Ally is tired of be his side action. She wants, no needs more from Mark, and Mark, well Mark doesn't really know what he wants aside from Ally the red-haired freckle faced beauty who stole his heart long ago.

This story starts somewhere in the middle of the second book Can't Get Enough, as you see a small spat between Mark and Ally in that book. This book picks up from the spat and Ally is sick of not mattering to Mark. His job comes first and foremost, but she just wants him to love her like she loves him. So what does she do? Probably one of the dumbest things she could ever do, make Mark jealous. It works alright, but not how she wanted it to. And because of it, consequences happen. Will there love be enough to get it together, or are they both to stubborn to communicate? Come on guys communication is key!

Molly had me swooning from Mark from the get go. Again, HELLO man in uniform! He could have been a rent-a-cop and it still would have been hot! OK, maybe that is an exaggeration, but non the less Mark is HOT. This is the book that kept me up all night. I could not stop reading about Ally and Mark. They are hands down my favorite couple so far. The love that Mark shows Ally after he gets his head out of his ass is what every women dreams of. I have a certain retired grunt who could take a few lessons from Mark. Sigh.... Oh well, I will continue to live vicariously through my books.

If you have read my other posts about Molly McLain, then there is no need to rehash how much I love reading her books. I do have to say though Ms. Molly, that I better see Mark again, I'm already going through withdrawals from him. I'm hyperventilating infact. OK, not quite that bad, but I wouldnt be upset with just a little fix from him. PLEASE???

There is one more book in this series that has been published, and I have it loaded up on my kindle app now. It follows Dan and Maddie Hudson on their honeymoon. If you have read the first book then you would know that they got married in the first book, and I am chomping at the bit to see how freaky these two are going to get.

So hang on tight, this next book sounds like its going to naughty with a capital N.

Can't Get Enough by Molly McLain (River Bend #2)

Can't Get Enough is the second book in the River Bend series, and while I enjoyed, it wasnt as good as Cant Shake You. However, the plot was great, the story was there, but I am not all that soft on single Dads. Its just not my thing.

This story follows Tony Dunn and Nicole Hodges. Just to lonely broken people who find solace in each other. Tony is a single Dad to a baby girl named Brianna, and he has NO clue as to what he is doing until Nicole strolls in. Nicole is running from her past, and is leery of domineering men. Can Nicole ever trust Tony with her heart, even when her past shows up to River Bend?

Just like Can't Shake You, Tony is also a retired Marine...Nough said. Plus a construction foreman for Hudson Contracting...Can you say yes please? Me, not so much. I have to hots for his cousin. Which you will eventually get to meet in the next book.

I am glad that I read this book even though I'm not a typical woman who swoons over men and babies. Its just not my cup of tea. Dont get me wrong I love my children, and wouldn't trade them for the world, well maybe for some cold meds and a Redbull right about now, but I dont get that baby fever. Yep its a baby....Good Luck? LOL

This book however was the perfect set up for the next book in the series so you have to read it to really knows what happens with Tony's cousin Mark.

So read this book even if your like me, anti baby and all, because it sets up more books for this series. Can you say happy dance?

Onward and forward with my addiction my fellow book junkies. Stay tuned!

Can't Shake You by Molly McLain (River Bend #1)

Yep I have went and did it again. I have found another author who has thoroughly entertained me. I found Molly McLain by chance so THANK YOU BOOKBUB.COM! You never let me down in finding new authors.

Molly McLain is new and upcoming, and so far she has 4 books in this series. Yes I am addicted.

In the first book you meet Josh Hudson, he live in the small town of River Bend and built himself a nice little contracting company. He also is a Marine, need I say more. My inner goddess is doing the happy dance for men in uniform, but who can blame me right? I love my Grunt more then life it's self, even when I want to choke slam him into the ground.

Three years ago, Josh had the best one night stand of his life with Carissa Brandt, and he has not been the same ever since. Josh deploys and thought he could return back how and pick up where he left off with Carissa. Boy was he wrong. Why can't men just use thier big boy voices and tell us women what they want? Quit beating around the bush already! Ugh men! The next year and a half, Josh is trying to deny his attraction to Carissa, and so is she. I'll give you a small hint. They fail miserably.

Molly McLain does a fabulous job in her debut book. She really captures the couples personalities and how they are two very different people. I love her writing style, I love it so much that I stayed up until 6 am this morning finishing the next two books. I know right, me with little sleep, and a busted coffee maker to boot. I love the inner dialogue that she captures for each character. She is also like James Patterson, M.J. Fields and Ivy Love by switches back and forth between characters. Hence why I stayed up so late. I HAD to know what was going to happen.

So Molly you have gained a new avid fan, who won't be afraid to Facebook stalk you when I'm not playing soccer mom, cleaning up after my horde or when my stinking job takes time away from stalking.

I look forward to following you on your journey and absolutely cannot wait to see what you have in store for River Bend.

Sabato: The Cross by M.J. Fields (Ties of Steel #3)

I have failed you all by not keeping up I'm not going to lie and tell you haven't been reading, because I have, I have just been way too LAZY to do my reviews. So I am going to start by doing this one.

I don't even know where to start. I thought Dominic was the man for me, but nope. M.J has gone and ruined that for me. I will take Sabato any day. I have a thing for accents among other things.

Sabato is the son of the Mafia Kingpin, and he hates his father....Or is he is father? I'm not telling you. He comes to the Jersey shore to get a way from his father and to find a wife.
Enter Melyssa, the moment she sees Sabato, she is done for.

Sabato has unique tastes in the bedroom, his is an Alpha male through and through, and wants to tame Melyssa. However, Mel, as her friends call her, is to stubborn to give into his demands. Will the two of these lost souls make it work, or will they never love again?

This book is about love and trust. Can you love someone again after losing the love of your life. Can you trust another with your heart.

I know the answer, and if you have ever read any of my reviews, you know what I'm about to say. Of course you need to read it.

M.J. if you ever read my blog, please PLEASE tell me this isn't the of the Steels? I need my Zandor fix every now and then.

As always M.J.'s writing is superb. Her books are easy to read, with little questions. I hate when I am reading and find myself asking WTH just happened and I have to go back a few pages and reread, drives me nutso. I NEVER have to do that with M.J. As always I will continue to stalk her and I am always going to run out and by her books, especially if is has anything thing to do with the Steel series.
