Get Lucky by Lila Monroe

I have read all of Lila Monroe's books, and this one is hands down my favorite.  I found myself busting up through out this whole book.

Julia and Nate meet in Vegas, she is there for a romance writing convention and he is there for his best friends wedding. To say it is love at first sight, is an understatement. They instantly clash, however as the evening goes on, they meet back up and get blistering drunk. The next thing you know, they both waking up naked in bed with no recollection of what happened the night before. Thus starts the story. Julia and Nate spend the whole next day together trying to find out what actually happened.

This book was laugh out funny, and I really really hope that Ms. Monroe tells us Tyler's story. It would definitely make for some great entertainment.

Player: A Secret Baby Sports Romance by Aubrey Irons

ARC received in exchange of an honest review.

This book was just what I needed. I have been in a reading funk, and this one brought me out of said funk. This book had a little bit of everything, romance, suspense, surprises, and of course hot steamy sex.

Austin is the hottest pro quarterback, who has a reputation that needs some polishing. Enter Natalie, she has just left her fiance in his office with his pants around his ankles. Of course it wasn't Natalie they were down for, no no, it was for his secretary. Austin sees her at a bar, and she has no clue who he is. Austin is instantly intrigued by her, why because she doesn't know him, and her lips feel like heaven.

So Austin offers her half a million dollars to pretend to be his wife and help polish his image. She accepts.

Any who, if you read the blurb, you will see Vegas is involved, a pregnancy and a whole slue of emotions happen as well. Aubrey Irons did a great job of writing this book. I felt that she was able to capture Austin's true emotions as he figures out what is important, and how he deals with falling in love with Nat. I was quite refreshing as a reader to see Austin come to grips with it, and that he literally does everything possible to keep Nat and his baby.

I can't wait to see what Ms. Iron's has in store for us next. I really really hope she sticks with the football romances. There is just something incredibly attractive to an alpha male learning that he will do any and everything for love.

Panty Melting Factor: 5 panties! The sexual chemistry between Austin and Nat will ignite your kindle. Total melt down!

Prick Tease by Misti Murphy

I came across this book from an email I get daily about free kindle books. The title caught my interest so I though sure why not, I'll give it a go. Wow! Just WOW!

Misti Murphy has become a favorite author for me. You couldn't have pried this book from my cold dead hands. I flew through this thing. I read why I was doing my hair, fixing my lunch, and walking into work. This book became my obsession for the better part of 24 hours.

In fact this book kept me so entertained, that I have already started the next book and I am already half way through it. I couldn't get enough of Razer Bennington. Holy mother of God, the mouth on that man. He will have you panting in a heartbeat. I was envious of Claire, I can totally see how she had a crush for the better part of seven years. He is book boyfriend material at its finest.

I can't wait to see what happens to Tom Hadley in the next book. He seems like once he is bitten by the love bug, he is going to love unconditionally.

Blitzed: A Football Romance (The Alpha Ballers Book 3) by Lucy Snow

ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.

I freaking love this series!!! Lucy Snow delivered another spectacular book! Hudson Asher is my new book-boyfriend. This guy has it all, the looks, the charm and the ability to make you forget your own name. Mackenzie Mayfield has had a crush on him since the day he signed to her daddy's football team. Now she is going after what she wants, and she has Hud in her sights.

There is something about Mack that Hud just can't seem to figure out. She has captivated his interest, more so now that he saved her from her date at a fundraiser. Hud can't get the beauty out of his mind. He is going to own her, heart, body and soul.

Ms. Snow out did herself on this book. Mack and Hud are made for each other, and you can really tell with the turning of each page. This is by far Lucy Snow's best book to date. I hope we get to see more from the Patriots, as she has made several more connects in the book that could eventually lead to more stories for Lily to write about. I look forward to her next book!

Royal Prick (A Stepbrother Romance, #2) by J.L. Beck

ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.

I am not going to lie, I was a bit apprehensive at the beginning of this book. I love stepbrother romances, but I am not so much of a fan of them if they are about high school kids. J.L. Beck has made me a fan of high school romances. This was the first one I have ever read, and I freaking loved every page of it.

This book follows Royal and Noelle. Royal's dad left him and his mom for another women. To say Royal has issues is an understatement. Noelle is the daughter of the other women who tricked Royals dad into marrying her since she was pregnant with "his" kid. 18 yrs later Royal is a ticked off teenager who has daddy issues, and he is forced to go live with his dad because his mom cant handle him. He meets Noelle who has mommy issues (her mom is a terrible person).

Noelle is intrigued by Royal and doesn't think he is a bad person, Noelle's mom says otherwise and instantly treats Royal like he is scum of the earth.

As the story progresses, the plot thickens and by the end of the book you are staring at your kindle, shaking your head,  with you mouth wide open, thinking WTF!!!

While some reviewers are criticizing Ms. Beck's books saying she steals titles and premises, I will tell you not to listen to them. They are cynical jerks who have nothing better to do than slam a talented author.

I love this book!!! It would be a great introductory book for people wanting to get into stepbrother romance genre, and is one of the best books dealing with teenage step-siblings. As always I look forward to Ms. Beck's next book. I am a huge supporter of her writing, and I love spreading the word about her work. She is truly a gifted writer.

Panty Melting factor: 5 panties! The chemistry between Royal and Noelle is sizzling, even when they are fighting one another.

The Neighbors (Kink Series #1) by Saige

ARC provided by Ardent Prose in exchange for honest review.

So I finished this book a few days ago, and I am still burning up from how stinking hot this book was. This was an a menage that was incredibly erotic. I'm not one to read about M/M/F books, but this one was wrote so tastefully. I loved the fact that one of the Neighbors fell in love with the heroine.

It made for an exciting read. If you want a quick steamy read, then this book will hit the spot.

Throttle: A Bad Boy Sports Romance by Teagan Kade

ARC generously provided in exchange for honest review.

This is the second book I have read by Teagan Kade, and I am an addict. I don't know what it is right at the moment, but I cannot consume sports romances fast enough. This book kept me entertained, so much in so, that I was literally late getting back from lunch on Tuesday (oops)!

Teagan Kade's writing is much like Alexa Riley's where it is insta-love, must have you under me. But the difference is Teagan Kade has a plot (don't worry Alexa Riley, your still my go-to smut author). Throttle was the perfect read for a lonely night. Andy and Sara had such chemistry that I never wanted the book to end. While I was sad to see this book end, I was afforded my HEA.

I am very thankful that I had the opportunity to read this book before it was published. I hope I get another sneak peek for the next book as I'm sure it will be another great book.

One woman. Two men. They are roommates… and they want to fuck her.
She’s just been dumped, so of course doing something spontaneous is first on the list.
What’s more spontaneous than a threesome with the neighbors that crave her?
That’s right. Nothing.

Saige writes really kinky erotica. Her stories ALWAYS have hot, dominant men included in plots that would probably never happen in real life. When she isn't writing, she's either reading or baking.

Blitzed: A Secret Baby Sports Romance by Lauren Landish

ARC provided in exchange for a honest review.

OK typically I don't read about secret babies as they always seem cliched. But this book caught my attention as I am on a sports romance kick right now (football romance is my absolute favorite), so I thought I would give it a try.

Man am I glad I did! I have read several books by Lauren Landish, and she has never disappointed. This book is by far my favorite of hers. She really knows how to write a gripping book, I was on the edge of my seat through the whole book. I even wanted to throw my kindle as I thought Whitney was being very selfish. I still loved her, but seriously give the guy a break, you ripped his heart out not once but twice.

Now Troy was a different story, I rooted for him the entire time. While both Whitney and Troy had some communication errors, they were both head over heals in love with each other. Don't people know... Love conquers all!

I hope Ms. Landish writes some more sport romances. I really enjoyed her writing about football. I felt if was believable and I could see the plays on the field in my head. This book was very difficult to put down as I need a HEA! Lauren never disappoints in the HEA area.

Rescue Me: A Bad Boy Military Romance by Vesper Vaughn

ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.

Holy Hotness!!! You just can't go wrong with a good military man. Luke Davis is hands down the hottest man I have come across in a book, well for a Marine anyway. I have me a bonafide army man at home, but hey this is fantasy land and I can dream about a Marine right?

Luke broke Ella's heart eleven years ago, and now she is back in his life, and he is going to make dang sure she isn't going to leave ever again. The way Luke remembers the little things, like the read door, it almost broke my heart. He loved Ella deeply when he left, but he thought he was doing the right thing. He wanted to make something of himself and then get the girl (I can totally relate to this book, it was like reading my personal story of my husband and myself).

Of course, there were some twists and turns, that include fears, and ex-boyfriends who just don't know the word no. But I will give one spoiler... There is a HEA!!

Vesper Vaughn has quickly become one of my favorite authors. Her writing captures me in away that most authors don't. I have read quite a few books of Ms. Vaughn's and every book is the same. I just can't put it down. Ms. Vaughn has the talent to become one of the greats. She will be a household name like Nora Robert or Sandra Brown one day soon.

Killian (West Bend Saints #4) by Sabrina Paige

ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.

Killian Saint is by far my favorite of the Saint clan. His alpha possessiveness just thrilled me to my core. He's kind of a jerk and will tell you like it is. He will also antagonize you so he can see just how much he can get away with. He also has a caring side of him that he only lets special people see. Lily Grant is his special someone.

Lily has recently moved from Chicago to West Bend Colorado do get away from  her dead husbands memories, and to be closer to her Mom and Dad. Lily is fulfilling her dream of owning a bakery. Her sweets are amazing and her coffee is to die for. However one day she has a collision with a gruff bearded man, who she thinks is a drunk. Little does Lily know, she has just collided with her destiny.

I cannot give enough praises about this book. While it is the 4th in the series, you do not need to read the other books to read this one. I'm going to warn you though, once you read about a West Bend Saint, you are going to want them all.

Ms. Paige has captivated me again with her writing. She has me wishing that there would be more of the Saints, but I felt that this book wrapped up the series nicely. I will miss my Saint's, and maybe one day we will be reading about their children.

Look what's LIVE!!!!! New Alexa Riley book!!!

 BTV.jpg

Welcome to Alexa Riley Promises. This series is dedicated to old romances. It’s tropes galore, with all of our usual over-the-top alphas and sweet cheesy goodness.

These short books will focus on traditional and classic tropes while sticking to the Alexa Riley code: no cheating and always with an HEA. That’s our Promise to you.

Blackmailing the Virgin

When Calder Cox sees Felicity for the first time, he has to have her. There’s nothing that will hold him back…until he finds out she’s his business partner’s daughter.

Felicity Chandler is graduating college soon but has no idea what she wants to do. While playing her violin one night, she sees Calder and feels instantly drawn to him. But when he tries to keep his distance, she doesn’t know what to do with all of her feelings.

Calder can’t be held off much longer, and when his control snaps, there are consequences. Felicity might be trying to run, but he’ll make sure she stays…even if he has to blackmail her to do it.

Warning: This is an Alexa Riley Promise, so it’s over the top, contains no cheating, and will always come with an HEA. It’s ridiculous baby-making drama that’s packed full of heat.

AP new - excerpt.jpg

The past weeks have made me crazy with want, and I’ve done all I can to stay away. So many years my life has felt hollow, but since I found her on the balcony, something has changed. She crept into those empty spaces, and I need more. I crave her like oxygen.
Now, with her being this close, I can’t control it anymore. She’s too beautiful, the most perfect thing I’ve ever seen, and I feel so many things I’ve never felt before. Didn’t even know existed. It’s as if she’s brought something inside me to life. Felicity has turned me into a new man, woken me back up, and this new part of me must own her. In every way possible.
I strip out of my suit and throw it to the floor, and then stand there in my boxer briefs. I hesitate for only a second and then push them down as well. I know what I want, and I know she wants it, too. I’ve felt it between us, and I saw it in her eyes tonight.
I gently pull back her blanket, careful not to wake her yet. Looking down, I see she’s wearing a small T-shirt with her college crest on it and pale blue cotton panties. I’m a little surprised at her innocent underwear given how her dad had mentioned she was just like her mother. Then again, she didn’t expect me to come sneaking into her room tonight, so maybe that’s why she didn’t wear anything sexier. I like the look of these panties, though. They’re innocent and sweet, as if she’s untouched.
When I push away the blanket completely, I crawl into the bed on top of her.
Her eyes pop open, and she looks alarmed for just a moment before they focus and recognize it’s me. There’s a moment when she takes in a breath as if she’s going to scream, but then just lets it out slowly. She’s still as she looks into my eyes, the questions starting to mount. In the moonlight, I can see the blush deepen across her cheeks.
“Felicity,” I breathe the second before my lips land on hers.
I’ve held off as long as I could, but I have to taste her again. I have to claim her mouth as mine, because God knows who she’s given it to since we’ve been apart. I growl at the thought before pushing it away and sweeping my tongue inside her mouth.
She lets out a little whimper, but her hands go to the back of my head, holding me to her. Pressing the full weight of my body on top of her, I give into my urges and hold her tightly to me. My hands go to her sides and push the small shirt above her curvy waist, needing her skin against mine. My mouth moves to her neck, and I hear her say my name again, this time with a question on the end of it.
“What are you doing here?” she gasps, but her legs spread under me, allowing my steel-hard cock to press against her hot, panty-covered pussy.
“I’m giving us both what we need, sweetheart. I can’t stay away from you any longer. I’ve tried, but seeing you tonight was my undoing. Please, Felicity. Please don’t turn me away.”
Even I can hear the desperate plea in my voice as I beg her not to kick me out. I would pull away and leave her here alone if she asked me to. I would do anything she asked of me, but it would tear my soul into pieces if she did.
“Let me have you, Felicity.”

Blackmailing the Virgin (Alexa Riley Promises #2) by Alexa Riley

ARC generously provided by Ardent Prose in exchange for a honest review.

I swear every time I read an Alexa Riley book, I get more and more depraved thoughts. The writing these two do is beyond amazing. They are both truly gifted writers as they are able to depict amazing imagery on their book pages.

This book was well written and has easily become one of my favorites (although I am re-reading some of their earlier work...wow, just wow). Calder Cox, just saying his name gives me chills. He is a confirmed bachelor, and he likes it that way. That is until he sees Felicity Chandler. She is the end all be all for him. He has to have her, no claim her, and he will stop at nothing to possess her. Including Blackmailing her, he will have her, whether she likes it or not.

This book is an over the top insta-love, and will have you swooning over Calder, and hoping that he get the HEA. He deserves it, and Felicity is the only one who can give that to him.

I love second-chance romances, and Alexa Riley does an amazing job of keeping their M.O of insta-love, possessive, alpha men who fall head over heels for the women they need to claim. This was a great story with both concepts intertwined. I look forward to the next Promise book, as I'm sure it won't disappoint.

Match This!: The UnSocial Dater by MJ Fields

ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.

Ok ya'll know that I flippin love MJ Fields! This book had me busting a gut. I can't tell you how many times I actually had to stop reading and wipe tears from my eyes. The things that MJ comes up with. HILARIOUS!!!

Kat is everything I wish I was. She is unsocial, she doesn't give a f@ck what people think of her, and her f@ck off attitude is to die for. Kat avoids relationships as she watched her mom and step-dads marriage fail. There is no prince charming and happily ever afters for this girl. No sir, that is all unicorns and b@llsh*t for this girl.

However, her Momster (I'm not making this up, she really calls her mom that) comes to visit, and Kat find that her now single mom is on an online dating site and getting dirty pics from men. While her mom is an overbearing, protective monster (hence momster) Kat helps her mom try to find love. So what does any good Catholic girl do, signs up to the same site for "research" purposes. This book is hilarious as Kat has to explain some of the lingo to her mom, who by the way is completely obvious to all things related to online dating. It is sweet to see Kat and her moms relationship come closer than ever before.

Soon Kat finds herself going on dates of her own, only to find something wrong with each date. I totally didn't see the ending come. That was left field type sh*t that's for sure. That little surprise at the end had me wanting to chuck my kindle across the room (thank you MJ for that). There best be another book coming out, and soon. I don't think I can handle there not being one. Kat deserves her HEA, and I want it to be what's his name (yes I am being vague for a reason).

Wilde Fire by Kat Austen

Sorry it has been so long since I have posted a review. My life just got down right hectic. Work is crazy busy with tons of overtime happening already, so I can't even imagine what August is going to bring in regards to MORE overtime.

My kids sports have gotten more involved. Between the two of them, I have two days off during the week, but that will change again come the end of the month where I won't have two days off of running them around. No, NO, I will only have one day off during the week (yeah me)! Yeah I'm an awesome Mom, even though its Mother's Day and I could sell them for beer money right about now (j/k guys don't turn me in to DHS).

So with how crazy my life is turning out, I have decided to take a small step back in my reviews. A lot of people have no clue how much time I spend on this reviews. If the book was decent, I can take up to an hour to write a review, post on here, then I post to other sites like Goodreads, Amazon, Facebook and Twitter. I have also decided to change up the link under the bookcover. Originally it would always go to Goodreads, but now I am going to link it to Amazon, (unless the book hasn't been releases when I write my review, then you will get the Goodreads link so you can add it to you TBR shelf). That my readers can read the blurb and purchase it all in one sitting.

Lastly, I am only going to post on this blog books that have been generously given to me. Whether it be by the author, publisher, or another blog. These books always seem to be new books coming out, and I love helping my authors promote their books. And letting my readers know that they are Awesome, Amazing authors who deserve credit where credit is due.

So without further adieu, I give you WILDE FIRE!!!!

ARC provided by Ardent Prose in exchange for an honest review.

This book was a quick read for me. I love books that brings a childhood crush back together. They even thrill me more when one of the characters fight it. Its painfully obvious that they both have feelings for each other, but when a dead person is involved, the character with the reservations has to come to terms with the dead character and realized that hey he's dead and he would want me and her to be happy.

Well if you like books like that, then this one is a perfect fit for you. Kat Austen did a phenomenal job with the second chance/best friend sibling book. I hadn't had the pleasure of read any of her books, and I can honestly say I have been sucked in.

This book follows Bree and Jake. Bree is the bratty sister of Jakes dead best friend, and he just agreed to let her stay with him as she "writes" an article about the smoke jumpers in Alaska. However, the woman who is standing on his doorstep is a far cry from the snot noised girl he remembers. Bree is a grown up, and Jake takes notice of her.

Bree has been in love with Jake since she was a teenager, sure she use to be the little sister who would follow her brother and him around as kids. Then she grew up and had a secret crush on him. Now she 24 yrs old, a virgin, and still in love with Jake Wilde. What does she do, goes to Alaska to "write" a story about him and his smoke jumping buddies, screw his brains out, and get him out of her system once and for all.

Need I say more about this book!

AP new - synopsis.jpg

As a boy, he was like an older brother to her.
As a teenager, he became her secret crush.
As a man, he’s her target and she’s determined to get him out of her system once and for all.
Jake Wilde doesn’t live a tame existence. He never has. He never will.
His career as a smokejumper in Alaska? Dangerous.
His female conquests? Copious.
His stance on commitment? Never happening.
But when the girl from his past shows up at his door as a woman, Jake Wilde is about to learn a valuable lesson. Never, ever play with fire . . . unless you’re looking to get burned.

AP new - excerpt.jpg

I was smiling to myself when I broke into the room. I had him. The sweet, innocent act wasn’t going to work on the likes of Jake Wilde. He was a hunter. It wasn’t much sport to chase the mewling timid lamb. But game on when the prey was a sleek, powerful leopard.

The room looked like a big rec room, where the smokejumpers probably did everything from eat meals to watch movies to play board games. Right now, most of them were stuffed around a table playing what looked like poker. When they saw me, they lowered their cards to the table and diverted their attention.

“We weren’t expecting the Playboy centerfold visit until next month,” the pretty blond one with perfect white teeth piped up first, rising from his chair. “But I’ve always been a fan of surprises.”

I kept the eye-roll to myself. No need to offend anyone in the first minute I was here. I usually saved that for day two. “I’m Bree Chase. I’m here to write an article on the smokejumpers of Alaska.”

Blondie’s brows came together, like I’d just spoken gibberish. A few of the younger guys were too mesmerized by my rack to hear anything, and the rest were kind of just staring at me like I was going to be their next spank girl.

I’d changed into something more conservative than what I’d showed up in to Jake’s place, but most of them were still looking at me like I was standing in front of them naked, stroking my clit with one hand and my breasts with the other.

Guys.
I should have been used to it by now, but it still surprised me how much power women had in this world. We could have totally ruled it if we wanted to. But we were too smart for that.

One of the older guys stood up and moved toward me. He was staring at my face, possibly the only one in the room doing so. For as flat as I’d been in high school, the fairy godmother of Venus waved her wand my direction the summer after graduation. My boobs had swollen to the point that jogging was just too uncomfortable to do with any regularity, and my ass had popped too. It made clothes shopping a nightmare, and made being introduced to a guy and having him look me in the eye an impossibility.

The curse and blessing of being a woman.

“Miss Chase. Of course. Glad you’re here, and just ignore these guys. They’re animals. They do one hell of a job fighting fires, but we don’t let them out of their cage much other than that. They’re a menace to society.” The older guy was rewarded with a chorus of jeers and poker chips flying his way. “My name’s Jim Conway, but around here, I’m called Captain.”

I liked this guy. He could shake my hand, introduce himself, and look in my eyes. “My name’s Bree Chase, but wherever I go, I’m known as the ballbuster.”

When Captain chuckled, the corners of his eyes creased. “Well, boys. You heard the lady. Who wants to get in line first to get their balls busted?”

I’d never seen grown men move so fast. In less time than it took me to tame my smile, every single guy was standing in a straight line in front of me.

I was about to point my pen at the first one in line—go figure, it was Blondie—when someone powered up to the front of the line and shoved everyone back.

“Well, Miss Chase, looks like Jake’s up first.” Captain winked at me, slugging Jake’s arm as he headed back to his hand of poker. “Think you can handle him?”

Jake shoved the rest of the guys pushing on him, making their complaints for his cutting in line known. He was acting possessive. Protective. Almost jealous. That was a good thing. A sign he didn’t like the idea of sharing me or my time with any of these other guys.

When Jake looked down at me, I cocked an eyebrow. “I know I can handle him.”
