Wilde Fire by Kat Austen

Sorry it has been so long since I have posted a review. My life just got down right hectic. Work is crazy busy with tons of overtime happening already, so I can't even imagine what August is going to bring in regards to MORE overtime.

My kids sports have gotten more involved. Between the two of them, I have two days off during the week, but that will change again come the end of the month where I won't have two days off of running them around. No, NO, I will only have one day off during the week (yeah me)! Yeah I'm an awesome Mom, even though its Mother's Day and I could sell them for beer money right about now (j/k guys don't turn me in to DHS).

So with how crazy my life is turning out, I have decided to take a small step back in my reviews. A lot of people have no clue how much time I spend on this reviews. If the book was decent, I can take up to an hour to write a review, post on here, then I post to other sites like Goodreads, Amazon, Facebook and Twitter. I have also decided to change up the link under the bookcover. Originally it would always go to Goodreads, but now I am going to link it to Amazon, (unless the book hasn't been releases when I write my review, then you will get the Goodreads link so you can add it to you TBR shelf). That my readers can read the blurb and purchase it all in one sitting.

Lastly, I am only going to post on this blog books that have been generously given to me. Whether it be by the author, publisher, or another blog. These books always seem to be new books coming out, and I love helping my authors promote their books. And letting my readers know that they are Awesome, Amazing authors who deserve credit where credit is due.

So without further adieu, I give you WILDE FIRE!!!!

ARC provided by Ardent Prose in exchange for an honest review.

This book was a quick read for me. I love books that brings a childhood crush back together. They even thrill me more when one of the characters fight it. Its painfully obvious that they both have feelings for each other, but when a dead person is involved, the character with the reservations has to come to terms with the dead character and realized that hey he's dead and he would want me and her to be happy.

Well if you like books like that, then this one is a perfect fit for you. Kat Austen did a phenomenal job with the second chance/best friend sibling book. I hadn't had the pleasure of read any of her books, and I can honestly say I have been sucked in.

This book follows Bree and Jake. Bree is the bratty sister of Jakes dead best friend, and he just agreed to let her stay with him as she "writes" an article about the smoke jumpers in Alaska. However, the woman who is standing on his doorstep is a far cry from the snot noised girl he remembers. Bree is a grown up, and Jake takes notice of her.

Bree has been in love with Jake since she was a teenager, sure she use to be the little sister who would follow her brother and him around as kids. Then she grew up and had a secret crush on him. Now she 24 yrs old, a virgin, and still in love with Jake Wilde. What does she do, goes to Alaska to "write" a story about him and his smoke jumping buddies, screw his brains out, and get him out of her system once and for all.

Need I say more about this book!
