Royal Prick (A Stepbrother Romance, #2) by J.L. Beck

ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.

I am not going to lie, I was a bit apprehensive at the beginning of this book. I love stepbrother romances, but I am not so much of a fan of them if they are about high school kids. J.L. Beck has made me a fan of high school romances. This was the first one I have ever read, and I freaking loved every page of it.

This book follows Royal and Noelle. Royal's dad left him and his mom for another women. To say Royal has issues is an understatement. Noelle is the daughter of the other women who tricked Royals dad into marrying her since she was pregnant with "his" kid. 18 yrs later Royal is a ticked off teenager who has daddy issues, and he is forced to go live with his dad because his mom cant handle him. He meets Noelle who has mommy issues (her mom is a terrible person).

Noelle is intrigued by Royal and doesn't think he is a bad person, Noelle's mom says otherwise and instantly treats Royal like he is scum of the earth.

As the story progresses, the plot thickens and by the end of the book you are staring at your kindle, shaking your head,  with you mouth wide open, thinking WTF!!!

While some reviewers are criticizing Ms. Beck's books saying she steals titles and premises, I will tell you not to listen to them. They are cynical jerks who have nothing better to do than slam a talented author.

I love this book!!! It would be a great introductory book for people wanting to get into stepbrother romance genre, and is one of the best books dealing with teenage step-siblings. As always I look forward to Ms. Beck's next book. I am a huge supporter of her writing, and I love spreading the word about her work. She is truly a gifted writer.

Panty Melting factor: 5 panties! The chemistry between Royal and Noelle is sizzling, even when they are fighting one another.
