Wow! I am so glad I gave this author a second chance. She totally redeemed herself.
This is the second book in the Dark Obsession series, and if I can offer one piece of advice, it is skip the first book because you don't have to read it to know what is going on in this book.
In this book we meet Letty and Tate. Tate and Letty have a very difficult relationship. Tate bullied Letty all through High school making her life a living hell. Letty never understood why he was always so cruel to her. One night is gets way out of hand and their lives are forever changed.
Two years later Letty and Tate are now in college and Tate has followed Letty to the same University. Tate has always loved Letty from afar. She turned him down once and he has never forgivin her for it. But now they are older and he still loves her. Letty has never knew that when Tate asked her out, he meant it. They were high school sweethearts, they just didn't know it.
This is an emotional tear jerker of a book. The writing was twenty times better with this book, and the author was able to capture the characters personalities with each page. I think she did a phenomenal job of portraying Tate. He's love/hate he had for Letty was unlike any other character I have read before. This book is definitely in my top favorites. I will be reading and re-reading it for years to come.
