This book tugged at my heartstrings as I know what it is like to love someone dealing with PTSD, it not only affects the veteran but their family as well. The real world doesn't understand, but Ms. Ward did a fabulous job of portraying this terrible condition.
Jake and Skye broke my heart, but thankfully Jagger glued the pieces back together. I was glad to see some comic relief in the form of a 6yr old, in this solemn story.
This is by far the best book I gave read in a while and I'm thankful Ms Ward portrayed PTSD accurately. Grab a box a Kleenexs when you settle in for this one.
