This is the first book I have read by Missy Blue, and it
also happens to be her debut book as well. I have never been so impressed with
a debut book. Thankfully this did not end on a cliff hanger like the last book
I reviewed.
Missy Blue’s writing reminds me a lot of E.K. Blair and her
Fading Series. I see a lot of similarities between Jewel and Candace without
the weird twists that E.K. puts in her books. Missy was able to capture the raw
emotions of both Jewel and Asher. I felt as if I were living in their
nightmares with them.
If you are anything like me, you will LOVE this book. I
could NOT put it down. I look forward to reading more from this author, and I
hope she continues to write these types of books as she really knows how to
nail the psychological aspect of abuse.
FYI Asher almost….Almost pushed Deacon out on his butt, but
his is still top dog………For now! Just wait till I introduce you to Jai Stone. He’s
one to go down in the record books.
