Title: King
Series: Broken Bows MC Duet #1
Author: Kerri Ann
Genre: MC Romance
Release Date: July 19, 2018

Blurb

He wants something I won’t give.

Oubliette
Even if it means my release. Even if it can help others. I don’t want to be a part of this hell, though I can’t see a way out.
He’s arrogant, ruthless, harsh, and a complete prick. Busta is an asshole.
Though there’s something about him that feels redeemable. I need to find a chink in his armor.

Busta
Liar.
I lie to everyone. I’m so good at it now, I don’t know where the truth starts. As Enforcer of the MC my job is to protect the club at all costs.

The day they ask me to watch over Oubliette—the sexy bartender from the Four Horsemen—I knew this would be difficult. That she’d be hard to resist.  I thought it would be simple; I thought I could get the intel. That I could save her and contain the lie. I was wrong. She ignites a fire within me that I cannot hope to control, and her strength in the face of defeat consumes me. To save her, I may chance everything. My life, my future….my club.

Who will win this war of wills?

This is one deliciously dark and gritty book, and I loved it. I haven't read any books by this author before, but you can guarantee that will be fixed asap.

The characters in this book were phenomenal, they were both hard headed stubborn people, and I loved watching them butt heads. I am on the edge of my seat though. I desperately want Pawn. I need to know what happens to Oubliette and Busta. This is one story you don't want to miss out on.

Also Available

Originally a part of The 7 anthology, Rook is the novella
that ties KING to PAWN in the Broken Bows Duet. Do not miss the story that
started it all.

Dark, light, angsty, sexually charged and twisted.

Heart wrenching stories are what I love to write. The muse directs the story. I'm the
instrument of their lives.

I won't guarantee an HEA or HFN, because life doesn't have those.

Enjoy the OMG's and tears.

Sincerely, Author Kerri Ann.

Exclusive Excerpt:

I started to speak, but Vamp got there before me. “There is no ‘someone else’ to follow you to your office. I’m takin’ care of this shit.”

That statement threw me off my impending rant. “Excuse me?” I asked reflexively.

“Ain’t speakin’ Swahili, baby. I’m taking care of this shit. All of it. You may not have kissed me back like you used to do, but I could feel you holdin’ back on me. You want this. You think about me. I fucked up. I’m sorry about that. I need to earn your respect again. I’m gonna do everything I fuckin’ can to get that respect back. Once that’s done, I’m gonna convince you to give us a second chance. We owe that to each other. I fucked up, but don’t add to my fuck-up by turnin’ a cold shoulder on all that we once were, and all that we could have in the future.”

I closed my eyes in a long blink. It was an attempt at stalling and keeping my cool. Opening my eyes, I said, “One kiss does not mean anything. How about I take care of my own shit?”

Vamp moved closer to me, so there were only four inches separating us. “I am taking care of it. It’s not your shit to take care of any more, baby. This asshole is gonna learn not to fuck with you or any other woman. Your hot water heater is going to get upgraded and upgraded today. Now, you gonna be stuck in that stuffy-ass headquarters building all day or what?”

I wanted to argue with him. I wanted to throw down my best attitude and put him in his place, but I knew that would only result in him taking my mouth again. I may not have kissed him back, but he was right. I was holding back, and my hold was no more than a thin thread. He wants a second chance! That silly wayward thought made a spark of hope flare inside me. I couldn’t let that spark catch fire, though. I knew about him and I had to protect myself from his brand of heartbreak.

Handle with Care by Nina Croft

HWC_EXCERPT REVEAL

“Heat, heart and plenty of happy sighs.”-- Avery Flynn, USA Today bestselling author

Handle with Care, an all-new romantic standalone from Nina Croft is coming July 30th!

2018-0682 Nina Croft b01.jpg

Synopsis
What if all you want is the one thing you can’t have?
First grade teacher Emily Towson always does the right thing. The sensible thing. But in her dreams, she does bad, bad things with the town’s baddest boy: Tanner O’Connor. But when he sells her grandmother a Harley, fantasy is about to meet a dose of reality.
And then he goes and calls her “sensible”...
Tanner can’t believe sweet Emily is standing in his shop. Yelling and waving her hands and looking so god damn sexy he’s having trouble focusing. He’d spent two hard years in prison, with only the thought of this “good girl” to keep him sane.
He really should send her away...
Before either one thinks though, they’re naked and making memories on his tool bench with apparently the oldest condom in history. Now Tanner’s managed to knock-up the town’s “good girl” and she’s going to lose her job over some stupid “morality clause” if he doesn’t step up.
But can this bad boy teach his good girl they’re perfect for each other in time?

Excerpt:

“Tanner.”

Just the way she said his name, sort of breathless, made him hard. He nodded.“Emily.”

“What are you doing here?” Her eyes narrowed.“Did you follow me?”

“You looked a little upset. I was just making sure no one else followed you.”

“You mean Ryan? He’s being a total pain in the…”

“Ass?”

“Yes.” She pressed her finger to the spot between her brows.“I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I’m usually so…” She took a couple of deep breaths.“He was making me so angry.”

“I thought he was your boyfriend?”

“Not anymore. It’s over between me and Ryan. It was over before that night you and I…”

He decided to help her out.“Had hot, dirty sex on top of the workbench in my garage. Then up against the wall in my garage.”

She gritted her teeth but gave a quick nod.

“Why was it over with Mr. Perfect? Did he finish with you?” Maybe she’d needed some sort of affirmation of herself as a sexy woman. He wanted to beat Ryan for that, though he had ultimately benefited from it.

“None of your business.”

“Come on, Em. I’m curious.”

Her face took on a mutinous expression, lips pursed.“He said I was sensible and then he asked me to marry him.”

Tanner managed to choke back the laugh, but she must have seen it on his face.

“It’s not funny.”

He’d proposed? That made Tanner want to growl. But she had a point. It sounded as though Ryan had fucked up on the proposal. Tanner certainly wasn’t sorry. Ryan’s loss, his gain.“Let me get this straight. If he hadn’t called you sensible, you would have said yes?”

“Probably not. He told me he’d decided it was time to settle down, and I was a nice, sensible woman, and would make him a suitable wife. Or something like that. I sort of stopped listening at ‘sensible.’What sort of man starts a proposal by saying you’re sensible?”

“An asshole?”

“Yes. Exactly. I said I didn’t think we were suited and walked out. Then when I got home, Mimi told me she’d bought a bike from you, and then she more than hinted that I was sensible, too. So when you said it as well, I just…sort of blew.”

“Actually, you kissed me, then you stripped, then you threw yourself at me. I didn’t stand a chance.” He had an image of her standing naked in front of him, challenging him to do something, and almost groaned.

“I did not throw myself at you.”

He just stood there, one eyebrow raised.

She folded her arms across her chest.“Anyway.I thought you were pretending that never happened?”

“Believe me, I’m trying. But I keep getting these little flashbacks at the most inappropriate times. Like when I’m picking up a tool from my work bench and there you are, all soft and naked and panting for me.”

Why did he do this to himself? His dick was almost painfully hard.

She was staring at him wide-eyed, her pink lips slightly parted. She didn’t move. He cast a quick look around the street—it was empty—then he closed the space between them, lowered his head, and kissed her before she could even have an idea of his intentions. He half expected her to pull back and run away, but her lips softened, then parted under his, and he slipped his tongue inside, sliding it along the length of hers. He kissed her until they both ran out of air. He hadn’t thought kissing was such a big deal, but he could kiss Emily all night.

About Nina:

Growing up in the cold, wet, north of England, Nina Croft spent a lot of time huddled under the blankets dreaming of faraway sunnier places and ponies. When she discovered both could be found between the covers of a book, her life changed forever.

At the age of eighteen, in an attempt to turn dreams into reality, she headed south in search of the sun. She quickly picked up the perfect husband along the way, and developed a taste for red wine and holidays in warm places.

Soon holidays weren’t enough, and together they volunteered to work in Africa where they both discovered a love of traveling and a dislike of 9-5 work. Afterward they spent a number of years travelling (whenever possible) intermingled with working (whenever the money ran out.) Eventually they stumbled upon a remote area in the mountains of southern Spain where they bought the small almond farm they now call home.

No electricity, no neighbors, no chocolate shops, but on the plus side, stunning scenery, a vineyard to make her own red wine, and far enough away from anywhere to satisfy Nina’s hermit tendencies. She shares the farm with her husband, and an ever increasing number of animals, including Piggles, a three-legged Vietnamese pot-bellied pig.

Nina now spends her days riding her mare Gencianna under the blue Spanish skies—sunshine and ponies. She reckons this is proof that dreams really can come true if you want them enough.

She still travels, but usually only in her imagination, and can often be found lying under a fig tree, wine in hand, plotting stories of love in faraway places.

Nina believes love can come to anyone, anytime, anywhere and her books reflect this.

On the DL by Laramie Briscoe

Title: On the DL
Series: The MVP Duet #1
Author: Laramie Briscoe
Genre: Sports/Contemporary Romance

Release Date: July 20, 2018

Blurb

A second-chance romance as scorching hot as a baseball diamond in August.

Slater "Savage" Harlow

Winning the MVP award for the Birmingham Bandits last year was the highlight of my baseball career. It was the culmination of childhood dreams, calculated adult decisions, sacrifice, and a hell of a lot of focus. Tearing my ACL in
spring training? Not what I expected at all.

Now I'm home, in small town Georgia, rehabbing in the comfort of my own home,
with people I know. I'm connecting with friends I haven't had time to talk to in years, spending days at home with my parents, and getting to watch my little brother play minor league baseball.

What I don't expect is to see Malone Fulcher walking into Del's Diner one morning while having my coffee and egg whites.

She's old flame, the one who got away, and the woman I compare all others to.

Malone Fulcher

Spending the summer in my hometown wasn't what I had planned, but it's what I
need. Recovering from a hard year, both personally and professionally, I need to reconnect with who I am. When my mom encouraged me to come home and do some soul searching, I can't say no.

Memories are all over this small town, from the Baptist Church to the east field on my parents farm, to the diner. On my second day in town, I decide to go in, memories be damned.

I lost my breath as soon as I saw "Savage" Harlow sitting alone at a booth. Our eyes lock, my heart flutters, and my hands shake - all the same way they did back in high school. But back then we couldn't make it work. Going our separate ways to differing colleges, we decided we weren't meant to be.

A decade later, as soon as our eyes meet, I'm wondering if we were right, because those green eyes of his do nothing but take me to a past that I can see being my future.

Author's Note: This does end in somewhat of a cliffhanger!

Another perfect ending to a great series. Piper Rayne is by far my favorite duo. Their writing cracks me up, and dont even get me started on the characters. I seriously want to know how they come up with them. To be a fly on the wall for those planning sessions.

Oh and really, I mean REALLY! 41 yr olds should not be considered as a silver foxes Piper Rayne. Just sayin!

Needless to say Hannah and Roarke were my favorite couple. I do like my men persist. Roarke was that and then some.

Excerpt:
I press the numbers on my phone with shaky fingers, bringing the receiver up to my ear and release a deep breath.

He picks up after one ring. “I thought we were friends? Having your assistant call my assistant. Tsk. Tsk, Ms. Crowley.”

Aggravation fuses together every cell in my body until I become an impenetrable wall.

“First, we are not friends. Second, I would prefer to talk to you via our office phones.”

There’s a brief second of silence where he’s probably realizing I called him through my office line.

“Ahh… so now you have my number and I don’t have yours? That seems terribly unfair.”

“I didn’t realize you cared about fairness?” I lean back in my chair and cross my legs.

“You don’t know that much about me. It’s not like you know me intimately.” He lowers his voice on the last word and drags it out.

I roll my eyes, happy we’re not face-to-face so he can’t see the flush in my cheeks.

“You may have witnessed how I own the courtroom, but you know nothing about my private life. For instance, you don’t know if I like thrillers or comedies. Whether I prefer sorbet to ice cream or if I wear boxers or briefs.”

“I don’t need to know those things,” I say with frustration, shutting my eyes to rid the vision from my head of him in tight black boxer briefs—since that’s my preference.

“You want to know though.” A sexual innuendo pours out of his mouth and hits its mark between my thighs.

“There you go making assumptions about my wants.” I pick up my pen, shuffling through paperwork. Anything to distract me from this ache.

“I not only know what you want, I know what you need, Ms. Crowley.”

I smack my hand down on my desk. “Okay Rico Suave, let’s talk about this venue you have access to and keep the discussion of undergarments for another time.”

A beeping sound interrupts us.

“Hold all my calls please, Kristen.” Then nothing for a moment. “Sorry about that but you know how busy I am.”

“Yes, I’m sure destroying people’s lives takes a lot of time. So let’s stop the sexual innuendos and get down to business.”

“Let’s meet tonight. You frequent Torrio’s. I frequent Torrio’s. Let’s do something crazy and have a drink together.”

“I don’t need a drink at Torrio’s, Mr. Baldwin, I need a venue to house my gala. Now tell me your terms and I want the details of this venue you insist you can secure. I refuse to meet you until you supply me with that information.” I uncross my legs and tap my foot on the floor under me.

“So demanding. I like it.” I can hear him shuffling papers in the background. “I’ll have my assistant message your assistant with all the details of the venue. I’m sure it will be of your liking. Then we’ll meet tonight at Torrio’s. Seven sharp. Consider it our own personal happy hour.”

“I’m not committing to anything until I see the venue.”

“Then I’ll see you at seven.” The phone clicks and I stare at the receiver in my hand.

“Prick,” I murmur.

A knock sounds on my door.
