Review: Riding Her Rough

Riding Her Rough Riding Her Rough by Jenika Snow
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ok am I the only one who pictures Charlie Hunnam as Torque? Ok nevermind I do that with ever MC book I read.

I am not a big fan of MC book, I am however a huge fan of Jenika Snow. Her ability to go from one sub-genre to the next is really remarkable. This book proves yet again that she is truly a gifted author. I will be reading more from this series as every character she described is hot, dirty and dangerous. Can you say "sign me up!"? I want to know more about the Death's Door MC and is crew. And hello, more images of Charlie Hunnam doing dirty things for me.

Review: Big Shot

Big Shot Big Shot by Carly Phillips
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I am a huge fan of these types of books. You know I have a secret crush on my older brothers incredible hot best friend. Yeah those books! This book though is by far the best I have read, and Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde did a phenomenal job on guy book. They make an amazing team.

I also loved the competitive nature between the characters. Both Wes and Natalie had me laughing out loud at their shenanigans. Especially Natalie and the maid costume. Classic!

I hope this becomes a series for these two authors, as I would love to read about the rest of the boys from this book.

A forced sentence leads to a reckless passion…….

Hadley

When my husband walked out on me over a year ago, it devastated me. When the divorce papers came, it killed me. When we had to sell our house, it broke me.

But then he moved in with his new flavor of the month and told our daughter his new woman wasn’t into children. That pissed me off.

Now Riley feels abandoned, and I can’t make it better; no matter how hard I try. I’m desperate to help her adjust to the loss of a male figure in her life. The companion program that matches adults up with children who have loneliness and abandonment issues is my last hope.

The counselors tell me he’s doing community service hours, and I ask to sit in on his meetings with Riley. The minute I see him astride the matte black Harley, I know neither my nor Riley’s life will ever be the same again.

Trick

Community Service. Two words I should be thankful for, but I’m not. I resent the hours it’s away from building my business. The two previous kids I'd been paired up with didn’t work out because their mothers were more interested in getting in my bed. This next match with a little girl is my last hope. Unless this kid works out, I’m destined to serve time.

When they push her into the room wearing pink converse with a black dress, her crazy curls barely held back by the barrette in her hair, and studious glasses on her face, I can tell she’s scared - of new people, of change, of being pushed aside. Something inside of me breaks, and I want this girl to feel wanted again.

What I’m unprepared for is meeting her mom. The second our hands touch, there are fireworks, bright lights, and a picture of the future I could one day have. The future I’ve never allowed myself to wish for.

Community service becomes more than a chore, more than time I resent for being taken away from me. In the months that follow, I realize they’re just like me: they’ve been abandoned, left behind by the world, forgotten by those who should love them.

Thanks to the one last hope in both our lives - we found the light in the darkness we’d been searching for.

Southern Desire by Kaylee Ryan

Southern Desire Southern Desire by Kaylee Ryan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

You think I would learn my lesson when it comes to Kaylee Ryan's books. Thy author knows how deliver a sweet feel good romance that will leave you with the best kind of book hangover you could ask for.

Aaron and Whitney are perfect for each other. Aaron is sweet, compassionate, and 110% my new book boyfriend.  The way he falls for Whitney will make your heart swoon. Whitney is a sad heartbroken woman who is basically all alone now that her mom passed away. She wasn't expecting Aaron to turn her life upside-down and show her is ok to love.

This is a sweet sad story that will even have the darkest hearts melt at Aaron and his antics to make Whitney smile. While this is the second book in the series, it can be read as a standalone. I'm interested to see who's book will be next in this bittersweet series.

Justin

I’m God’s gift to women. What can I say?
When I’m out and about, I catch the ladies checking out the goods.
I’m at the beach today, and my sister has her posse of friends with her.
One, in particular, is beyond beautiful, with a killer body to match.
"Justin, don’t you remember me?” she asks in the most sensual voice I’ve heard in a long, long time.
"Sloane Hart, is that you?” I utter in disbelief. It’s my little sister’s best friend, all grown up and filled out in all the right places.
Needless to say, I don’t waste a minute getting her alone.
After I take her out to dinner, I get her back to my place for a little slap and tickle session.
Things get hot and heavy and we’re just about to do the dirty deed when I sense something isn’t right. She’s tense.
“Can you go slow and easy?” she asks timidly.
She’s a virgin?
I don’t mess with virgins anymore, not since high school.
Next. I’m moving on. I don’t want Sloane, dear Sloane, getting stuck on me.
After a couple of months, I’m usually done and over it. I tell her I’m doing her a favor.
The problem is that I can’t stop thinking about her. When I see other guys hitting on her, it makes my blood boil.
This can’t continue. Sloane Hart is getting under my skin.

Sloane

I was invisible to him.
Justin Harlow is my best friend's brother, and I’ve been in love with him for as long as I can remember.
Fast forward ten years later, and I’m at the Harlow family's beach party.
Justin has one killer set of abs and is devilishly handsome.
Mr. God’s gift to women notices me today.
The way his eyes rake over my body from head to toe tells me he wants me.
He says I’ve grown up and filled out in all the right places.
He’s dangerous for my heart and my body.
I know I’m in trouble.

Just Love Me 1, a captivating best friend's older brother novel you won't be able to put down!
